Dr. Sameet Gill has spent her career asking one question: what does it actually take for a patient to feel genuinely cared for in a dental chair? The answer she has arrived at, over more than a decade of practice across Alberta, has less to do with technology alone and more to do with the person behind it. She practices at Pro Grace Dentistry in Brentwood NW, Calgary, where she brings her DMD from Boston University, her MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, and a commitment to care that starts the moment a patient walks in.
Dr. Gill’s clinical range at Pro Grace Dentistry covers full arch implant rehabilitation, dentures, dental implants, Invisalign, tooth extractions, TMJ therapy with Botox, pediatric dentistry, and restorative care. She has invested significantly in her continuing education throughout her career and is recognized for her work in digital dentistry and implantology.
Dr. Gill recently completed the Full Arch Masters program, an advanced course focused on the digital workflow for full arch implant rehabilitation. This procedure allows patients who have lost all or most of their teeth to have a complete smile restored with implants, often within a single day. Using digital scanning, computer-guided surgery, and same-day restoration techniques, she is trained to deliver this transformative treatment with precision and care.
Her years of volunteering at Good Samaritan in Alberta gave her a firsthand understanding of what tooth loss means to a patient beyond the clinical picture. That understanding shapes how she approaches every denture and implant case she takes on, whether it is a single implant or a full arch restoration.
Dr. Gill is also authorized by the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta to offer Botox for TMJ therapy and jaw pain. For patients who experience chronic jaw pain, teeth grinding, or tension headaches related to jaw clenching, Botox injections offer a clinically effective treatment option that goes well beyond what most people expect from a dental visit.
Dr. Gill grew up in Edmonton, raised by a single mother who worked hard to give her every opportunity. The challenges her family faced were real, and the support that Catholic Social Services offered them during those years was not something she has ever forgotten. That experience is part of what drove her to build a practice rooted in accessibility, not just excellence.
Today, Dr. Gill gives back to Catholic Social Services and to food banks across Alberta. She established a tuition support program within her clinic, helping team members pursue further education without shouldering the full weight of that cost alone. She organized and led a pro bono dental clinic in Bhutan, extending access to dental care to communities that had none, and in Alberta she supports Good Samaritan, volunteering time with seniors in the community.
At the 2024 Forttuna Global Excellence Awards, Dr. Gill was recognized as Dentist of the Year in Canada and Young Dentist of the Year globally.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gill is most herself as a mother, a wife, and the proud owner of their labradoodle Polly. She brings that same grounded humanity to Pro Grace Dentistry, and it shows in the way patients talk about their experience there.
